Dear Friends, here's a short and sweet February Update. If you subscribe to our newsletter, you were the first to know about everything going on this month.
Firstly, thank you all for your continued support. Thank you for subscribing, following, liking, sharing and commenting on our posts on social media. We are in the "admin" phase of this first year of development, and right now getting the word out is a major part of the plans.
Our first 16 followers feels like a HUGE deal. Thank you!
Spring is almost here and February is a busy month for us! We have been working behind the scenes on administrative duties so we can spend all our time in the garden when spring comes.
Gaining a little bit of traction on our new Facebook page as well. Slowly but surely.
We are currently working on a woodland proposal to plant 1 acre of trees around the land. We hope to plant this year, but 2024 may be more likely.
This really helps us get seen by the right people in the community. Thank you so much for your help with this!
Feeling quite proud of our new website.
We are also in need of help tilling the land for the gardens and are looking for someone willing to help out with this. If you know someone, please send them our way! We are hoping to have it done in early March.
The first garden day for allotment members is scheduled for March 20th (the first day of spring). This will be the first day new members can start working on their plots.
We still have memberships available at 50% off for 2023. For more details, click here.
We hope to have an open garden day/meet and greet shortly after with free drinks and treats.
The best way to help this month is by spreading the word about our mission! Tell your friends & your neighbours. Shout it from your rooftops, tell a stranger at your local café.
Donations are also welcome to help us fundraise for fencing, community sheds & tools, benches, gates, raised beds etc. You can click here for the donation link, both financial or physical donations are accepted.
We hope you join us on this exciting journey!
Warmly,
Florence
